Hurricane Sandy; No Classes // New Buys

Classes are canceled for me tomorrow :o Hurricane Sandy has been making its way here, so the school has decided to cancel classes. I don't think I've every really experienced a hurricane before, but it sounds like it'll just be storm with strong wind and heavy rains, unless I'm underestimating the severity of it. 

Oh a side note, today's the last day that Six Flags is open to for the season, and because of the hurricane I couldn't go :( I bought a season pass, but I never got to use it. 

I spent the Sunday relaxing at home all day. I've been watching Glee this past month and I'm proud to say that I'm caught up :D I'm also almost caught up with Gossip Girl, just one episode behind. And lastly, I'm excited to get started on Nikita again.

Navy chiffon poet blouse & Neon pink skinny jeans

I like the shirt, but something about it doesn't look right on me. I don't think the color looks right on me even though a lot of my clothes are navy. I also like the jeans. They're actually neon pink and not orange-y like in the photo. But it's a tad tight pulling it up, so I'm hoping maybe it can stretch out after a few wears, but I'm not sure if I want to take the chances in case that doesn't work out. So I have these two that I'm debating on whether or not to keep..

Aerie Pretty Corset Dress $22.49

It's a very pretty color! Some reviews said the straps were too long, so I ordered a size down and my usual size so I can choose whichever one that fits. I like how it looks online, soo I'm hoping it'll be a keeper :3

I thought this was sorta cute, so I ordered it. I might end up returning it depending how it looks on me though because I'm not really sure how much I'll like it in person.

They had a 25% off skirts, and I saw some that seemed work appropriate so I ordered a few. I don't really have any bottoms for business casual clothing, so I definitely needed these!

So while I was browsing the skirts, I saw multiple of the same looking skirt but it had different item numbers, and two of them even had the same stock photo! So I just chose a random one and ordered...turns out that this isn't white but it's silver... just realized it, so I'll probably return it if it doesn't look good.

Tie-Waist Peacoat $12.99 

Basic peacoat for a chilly spring-summer day.

Total came out to be $57.96 + $8.50 shipping - $20 coupon = $46.46

Total damage was $180.14, but I'm expecting some returns if that makes it any better!! Maybe I can treat it as an early birthday present to myself or something. Was really hoping to treat myself to a flat iron or a handbag, oh well.

AE Order Arrived :)

I overslept yesterday morning for school :/ so I got there half an hour late. I didn't really sleep that late last night but I was probably lacking sleep from the night before but wow I slept through the entire day. I have seven classes and managed to fall asleep in all seven of them. But if it makes it any better, I was only dozing off in two of them...the other five I was knocked out.

Anyways, my AE order arrived today from this previous post. The sweater looks kind of orange in the picture, but it's actually more of a red in person.

I'm debating whether to keep the boots or not. Usually I can't find anything that fits properly, but for this one it doesn't look exactly like the stock photo.

If you compared the two, the stock photo shows that it's more slouched throughout, but when I wear it, it's like the top half isn't so slouchy and it's just straight. I'll try pulling it down or something and see how it looks next time I try it on.

As for the sweaters, I had a hard time deciding, so I think I'll actually keep all three of them :x I know I usually don't keep more than one of the same clothing, but they're pretty basic tops, so I think it should be okay. Plus they weren't that expensive either :)

To end today's post, here's some food!

 There were some snacks at work today for this staff appreciation thing :) Yumm the pastries were so good!
